Scouts slide into summer

Hensingham Scouts celebrate the end of term & slip'n'slide into summer!

We've never seen our Scouts so clean!  To celebrate the end of term scouts from both Skiddaw & Helvellyn Troops had a "wet night".  We were blessed with blue skies & sunshine and the Scouts had a great time as we worked our way through 14 cans of shaving cream, an inordinate number of water balloons and more buckets of water than any of the leaders could count.  After a number of silly games including a few wet & foamy varients on some childrens party favourites, the slip'n'slide was unleashed and the battle of the super soakers commenced!

Although our last formal meeting of term - we've still got an active programme running throughout the summer with weekly water activities nights at Scarness as well as our weekly joint meetings which include backwoods cooking, hiking and "urban geocaching" (once we've worked out what that means we'll tell you)!  All scouts & their parents should have received a copy of the programme by email, if not download a copy from the members area or ask Jon to send you one.  If you'd like to get involved then please contact us to find out more!
