Sponsored Swimarathon raises £915

Three teams from 1st Hensingham Scouts joined a Swimarathon session coordinated by the Whitehaven & District Lions Club at Copeland Swimming Pool on Sunday 12th March 2017.

Team members swam in a relay, each completing 2 laps before another team member took over, for an hour.

It was an exhilarating and yet slightly exhausting challenge which led to 137 laps in total from the group, raising £915.

Our thanks go to all our sponsors and to Whitehaven & District Lions Club for allowing us to participate. The money raised will support their local good causes and our own Scout Group who will be using the majority of the funds raised for the Scout Group's trip to a Jamboree in Denmark over the summer.
